Our attorneys are continually recognized and honored for their legal abilities. We are proud to display a sampling of the awards bestowed upon them.

More than 215 Hinshaw attorneys hold Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings for their professional legal ability and ethical standards. More than 125 of them hold the AV® Peer Review Rating, Martindale’s highest rating for ethics and legal ability.
One hundred and eight Hinshaw attorneys are members of the Leading Lawyers Network in Illinois. Based upon surveys completed by their peers, these attorneys are considered to be the most respected and experienced lawyers within their areas of practice in Illinois.
In November 2008, Michael P. Malone, a partner in Hinshaw's Milwaukee, Wisconsin office was named as one of "The Top 50" Wisconsin attorneys in all areas of law by Wisconsin Super Lawyers & Rising Stars magazine.
In November 2008, four partners in Hinshaw's Milwaukee, Wisconsin office, Russell A. Klingaman, Tomislav K. Kuzmanovic, Michael P. Malone and Thomas R. Schrimpf, were named to the Super Lawyers list in their respective practice areas by Wisconsin Super Lawyers & Rising Stars magazine.
In November 2008, two partners in Hinshaw's Boston office, Bradford R. Carver and David A. Grossbaum, were included in the Super Lawyers list by New England Super Lawyers & Rising Stars magazine, and published in Boston Magazine. In addition, four associates in the Boston office were named to the New England Rising Stars list, Jonathan C. Burwood, Justin M. Fabella, Bernard D. Posner and Ranen S. Schechner.
In November 2008, Roy Pulvers, a partner in Hinshaw's Portland, Oregon office, was named to the Super Lawyers list by Oregon Super Lawyers & Rising Stars magazine.
In 2008, James C. Vlahakis, a partner in Hinshaw's Chicago office, was named by the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin and Chicago Lawyer Magazine as one of the top "40 Illinois Attorneys Under Forty to Watch." Other Hinshaw attorneys receiving this honor include Thomas R. Mulroy, III in 2006, Craig T. Liljestrand in 2005, Matthew P. Walsh, II in 2004, and Robert T. Shannon in 2003.
In 2008, Hinshaw partner, James M. Lestikow, of the firm's Springfield office, was named by Leading Lawyer Network Magazine as one of the Top 100 Leading Consumer Lawyers in Illinois. He was also selected as one of the Top 50 Downstate Leading Consumer Lawyers in Illinois.
In 2008, Hinshaw partner, Marcia L. Mueller, of the firm's Rockford office was named by Leading Lawyer Network Magazine as one of the Top 50 Leading Women Consumer Lawyers in Illinois.
In August 2008, Hinshaw attorneys Bethany K. Culp, Sachin J. Darji, Thomas P. Kane, Russell S. Ponessa, Steven H. Silton, Eric J. Strobel and Thomas G. Wallrich, all of the firm's Minneapolis office, were included in the Super Lawyers list in their respective practice areas.

In January 2008, Hinshaw partner, John W. Sheller, of the firm’s Los Angeles office, was named to the Super Lawyers list in Southern California in the area of professional liability defense.
In January 2008, four Hinshaw attorneys in the Minneapolis, Minnesota office, Heather L. Marx, Jamie R. Pierce, Joel D. Nesset and Kristi Adair Zentner were selected for inclusion in the Minnesota Rising Stars list for 2008 through Minnesota Super Lawyers.
In November 2007, three Hinshaw attorneys in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin office, Tomislav Z. Kuzmanovic, Michael P. Malone and Thomas R. Schrimpf were named to the Super Lawyers list in their respective practices. Mr. Malone was also a member of the "Top 50 Wisconsin Super Lawyers" for the second year in a row. In addition, David J. In October 2007, William Yu, a partner in the Chicago office received the “Best Lawyers Under 40” award from the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA). This award recognizes talented individuals with the Asian Pacific American legal community under the age of 40 who have achieved prominence and distinction in their fields of endeavor and have demonstrated a strong commitment to civic or community affairs.
In July 2007, Thomas Y. Mandler, of the firm’s Chicago office, was named one of the top 100 labor attorneys in the country. He also received this honor in 2006.
In June 2007, two Hinshaw attorneys in Florida, Cheryl Wilke, Fort Lauderdale, and Andrew Grigsby, Miami, were included in the Super Lawyers list in their respective practices for the second year in a row.
In June 2007, Kristine E. Kwong, a partner in Hinshaw's Los Angeles office was included, for the third year in a row, on the Southern California Rising Stars list by Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Stars and published in Los Angeles Magazine.

In March 2007, Joel D. Bertocchi, a partner in Hinshaw’s Chicago office, received the Helping Hand Award, from the Black Women Lawyers Association of Greater Chicago (BWLA), for his help in the preparation and submission of amicus briefs in a number of Supreme Court cases.
In January 2007, 44 Hinshaw attorneys in Illinois were included on the Super Lawyers list in their respective practices. Only 5% of all attorneys in Illinois are given this honor.

In July 2006, Robert J. Romero, the partner-in-charge of Hinshaw's San Francisco office was named to the 2006 Super Lawyers list in the area of Insurance Coverage by Northern California Super Lawyers magazine.
